Let's head to Brussels

The whole thing started when I was leaving the nearest station and the train I was supposed to catch had already left right in front of me.I took the monorail from Hankyu Minamiibaraki, which was a few hundred yen more expensive, but I was worried about whether I would make it in time. There are flights every hour, so if it wasn't full I could just take the later one, but I was nervous.
This flight was shuttle flight between Haneda and Itami. The departure from Haneda was delayed, and the departure from Itami was delayed by an hour. My arrival at the airport was delayed, but the flight was also delayed, so I was able to board with ease. Should I say this is on schedule?
Tonight's accommodation I took a bus from Oji Station in Kita Ward.
I put the breakfast which I bought along the way in the refrigerator.
Looks like I'll have a place to sleep tonight.

Depart Tokyo Narita airport flight to Brussel Belgium.

In the morning, I walked a little and took the train from a station where I didn't have to use the bus to get to Narita Airport.
Narita Airport is located in Narita City, Chiba Prefecture, in a rural area.
I arrived at Narita Airport. Recently, there have been cheap buses to Tokyo Station, so I went to check out the ticket counters. Apparently there are buses in both Terminals 1 and 2.
Here is the timetable for cheap buses that go to various places in the vicinity. Left side bus going to Tokyo station every 10 minutes scheduled one way 1500yen.
Checked in for international flight, direct flight to Brussels Belgium today.
The direct flight I was taking to Brussels Airport in Belgium arrived at the boarding gate waiting room.
This photo is taken every time before boarding from the door just before the boarding gate. Most of the passengers were Japanese, but there was someone who looked like a foreigner; I spoke to him, he was from Tasmania, Australia.

I was in the aisle seat in the middle of a 3-3-3 seater, and no one was sitting in the middle seat, so it was comfortable during the flight.
Apparently, if Russia had not been at war, they would have taken this route.
The plane took off from Narita Airport at 10:27 a.m. Japan time.
I followed the flight attendant's recommendation and drank the white wine that had been poured into the paper cup beforehand.
This plane is flying around Russian territory. The dotted lines are the normal route, but the software reacts to the route before the war with Russia and displays the dotted lines.
Originally from Belgium, he came to Australia, got a job in Darwin, and now lives in Tasmania. He's 80 this year and once parachuted when he was younger. His son is an electrician in Canberra. We'd talked before boarding the plane, and on the plane, he was about 10 seats behind me in the same row, so we'd chatted often.
For the pre-arrival meal, I chose rice or lasagna. After that, I landed at Brussels Airport on schedule.

I was able to transfer to the train from the airport without any issues. Unlike Japan, it's this bright here even at 9:30pm. Come to think of it,
it was the same in Gibraltar and Portugal last year.
I might be able to make it to the Netherlands today, but if I get on the wrong train or miss a train, I'll end up sleeping outside along the way,
so I looked for a place to stay in Brussels tonight. The hotels near the airport were all expensive, costing around 20,000 yen,
but I found a hotel in the city center, about a half-hour train ride away, for about 5,000 yen,
so I bought a ticket to the nearest station, Midi Station. It seems to be about a half-hour train ride.
When I showed my ticket and boarded the train, the conductor told me it was the third large station, but with a view like this there's no way a traveler could realise how big the station was.
In Europe, whether in Switzerland or Italy, bicycles seem to be the norm for short distances. In Italy, there were people riding bicycles on the platform, but in Brussel, no one was riding bicycles.
This is a local line, so the number of passengers fluctuates, but considering that it runs through the middle of the capital, there are far fewer passengers than in Tokyo.
Last sation indicate Brussel but here is Bruxelles it was, the name of the station where I should get off. From here, I had no idea what other stations the train had stopped at or how big they were.
.When I boarded the train, the conductor told me it was the third "large" station, but looking out the window, I couldn't tell the size of the stations at all. Since simply assuming it was "Central" just because it was "Midi" could lead to a mistake, I repeatedly confirmed with other passengers that it was indeed Brussels-Midi, and trusting their answers, I got off.
I got off at Brussels Midi station as planned, entered the address of the hostel into Google Maps on my smartphone, and walked for 15 minutes while comparing it with my current location.
Although I had already paid the rent online when I made the reservation,
I was told that I would need to pay a city tax called the accommodation tax
when I checked in. The receptionist at the inn was an older man with a face that looked like he was of Turkish or Asian descent,
but he knew enough Japanese to greet people. He said he'd lived in Tokyo,
but even a foreigner could speak Japanese at his level after staying there for a week.
He wasn't at a level where he could communicate well, but he explained that he could speak Japanese to guide the guest
who arrived after me, making meaningless remarks like "Hello, Hello, Good evening, Thank you." I guess he takes pride in knowing Japanese.
The area where the hostel is located is an area where only Africans live,
and both the barbers and customers at the barber shop have darker complexions than the people in Dar es Salaam,
Tanzania. We went into a restaurant where we thought we could eat, but both the customers and the owner were African.
We went into a small shop, but the staff were clearly foreigners. For dinner, I bought some take-out food and ate it at the hostel's eat table.
At the hostel, I asked for a lower bunk bed.when I reserved by net.  Here's the view from my bed.
The power outlet in Belgium is AC220V, but even though the diameter of the power pin is the same, it is recessed from the wall, and the shape of the adapter prevents the plug from being inserted because it gets in the way of the rod sticking out of the outlet. Care must be taken in preparation.

Departing by train for Leiden, Netherlands

The inn provided breakfast, so I ate a hearty meal before leaving. The breakfast was good, they also made sandwiches for lunch, and the drinks were good too.
I returned to Midi station and bought a ticket to Leiden in the Netherlands with my credit card for 40.6 euros/\6500 (Euro/\160).
I was transferred three times to Leiden, Netherlands, and she kindly guided me through the journey despite my anxiety.
When I asked if I could take a photo, she removed her mask and said her name was Debola, but I couldn't remember it,
so I asked her to write it down. I thanked her by handing her a card with my name and phone number,
but she didn't finish writing hers. She was 46 years old, never married, and Dutch, with no children,
and said she was on her way to visit her parents. Japan is a faraway country, but she expressed an interest in visiting someday,
so I explained in detail about the differences between Chinese and Korean people.
I didn't know this, but the red seats are in first class, and the train is divided in the middle by a glass door,
with half of the car being blue seats in second class. However, no one came to inspect my first class ticket.
This station looks like Schiphol Airport in the Netherlands.
Scenes like this can be found all over the European countryside.
The train was running on time, and when I saw the word Leiden on the station building, I got off.
When I boarded the train in Belgium, there were no ticket gates like this, but in the Netherlands there are ticket gates at the stations. In other words, since there are no ticket gates in Belgium, two large African men were walking around the train checking tickets.
Ibis Leiden Centre Hotel is a one-minute walk away from two supermarkets. The cheapest hotels in this town are more than 10km away from the station. It would be nice to have a bicycle, but it's not close enough to walk with carry-on luggage, so I searched for a hotel under 15,000 yen per night and found one.

A day in Leiden I wanted to go to the Sieboldhuis but it was closed on Mondays, so I walked around town all day.

Since the accommodation included only breakfast, my strategy for the day was to eat breakfast there, then prepare lunch together to take along. If I had a partner, I wouldn't mind going to an expensive restaurant, but I ended up having dinner at a supermarket just a minute's walk away, with beer and salad for about 7.11 euros (1,200 yen).

Morning view from the window shows a canal between the four-story building and the building behind it can see only roof, camal boats sailing along it.
This hotel only includes breakfast, but this bread and ham could not have in morning, so it will be for lunch.
The entrance to this area is located across the canal as you walk towards Siebold House.
We have arrived at Siebold House.
There was Japanese.
This map was probably not a secret from the Edo Shogunate. Ino Tadataka's map of Japan is almost identical to modern maps, so he must have taken it back secretly. If he had not been expelled in the Siebold Incident, he could have taken the map of Sakhalin back with him, but the incident would have exposed it.
Maps of Dejima and its surrounding areas in Nagasaki, and other items brought back from those days, are still on sale, so when I asked if they were copies of the items they brought back, they said that all the items they were selling were originals, so I wonder how many items they brought back with them when they were finally exiled.

I was tired from walking today, so I had a delicious dinner with a lot of animal protein, which cost 6.04 euros, and a beer.

Back to Japan.

It's raining today, but I don't mind because I'll just have to take the train from the station in front of the hotel. I feel relaxed for the first time in a while.
I don't have to make lunch today, but my flight was at 7pm so I made a small sandwich in case I couldn't go to the lounge at the airport. The pink thing on the left is my breakfast, granola and cornflakes topped with strawberry yogurt.
The flight from Leiden, Netherlands to Brussels Airport in Belgium cost 52.9 euros. They also prepared a connecting train timetable for me.
The red seats behind the door are first class, and both trains are air-conditioned, so the ride is just as comfortable.
When I saw I thought Ice cream's Haagen Dazs, Unlike when I go there, I don't care what the station name is on the way back.

Every station has a fair number of passengers getting on and off.

After waiting for a while, my flight was displayed at the bottom. NH5101 bound for Vienna is a codeshare flight with Scandinavian Airlines flight SN2907.
After checking in and leaving the country, I walked to the free lounge hoping that it would be close to my boarding gate. Some airports have lounges in completely different locations from the building where my boarding gate is located, and some airports are just being mean, so I decided to ask for help and first check the boarding gate for my flight.
The lounge is likely to be located not far from the boarding gate.
